The U.S. Green Building Council is the nation's foremost coalition of leaders from every sector of the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work.

USGBC's core purpose is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life. USGBC-LI works to bring these values to the communities of Long Island.

The Long Island Builders Institute, formed in 1941, is an association of building industry professionals who are dedicated to making Long Island a better place to live and work, by creating a balance between the economy, the environment and the achievement of the American Dream of Home Ownership in all our communities.

BOMA Long Island - The mission of the Building Owners' and Managers' Association is to enhance the human, intellectual and physical assets of the commercial real estate industry through advocacy, education, research, standards and information.

The Hauppauge Industrial Association (HIA), which has a membership of approximately 1,000 companies throughout LI, is a grass-roots, pro-active 27- year old business organization that focuses on the economic health and well-being of its member companies and that of the entire Long Island business community. HIA provides services and programs focusing on international trade, human resources, business development, government affairs, manufacturing, technology, environment, education, engineering, transportation, energy and much more.

North Shore Business Chamber (NSBC) is a group of local business owners and professionals that meet weekly to support each other through formed business relationships and mutual cooperation.

The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) is the premier professional association for facility management. Supporting the largest community of FM professionals in the industry, IFMA membership comprises more than 17,300 facility professionals throughout 55 countries. Our members have a voice in 127 chapters and 15 councils and one special interest group.

National Associations

Advanced Restoration is a member in the following associations:

	The Better Business Bureau is an unbiased organization that sets and upholds high standards for fair and honest business behavior. Businesses that earn BBB accredited business status contractually agree and adhere to the organization’s high standards of ethical business behavior. BBB provides objective advice, free business Reliability Reports and charity Wise Giving Reports, and educational information on topics affecting marketplace trust. To further promote trust, BBB also offers complaint and dispute resolution support for consumers and businesses when there is difference in viewpoints. The first BBB was founded in 1912. Today, 128 BBBs serve communities across the U.S. and Canada, evaluating and monitoring more than 3 million local and national businesses and charities. 	The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) is a professional association comprising more than 1,300 member organizations, representing over 20,000 cleaning and restoration professionals. RIA members have access and exposure to the greatest collection of expertise in the business - their fellow members. That knowledge and expertise is shared during the annual convention, year-roundtraining classes, specialized schools, and accreditation and certification programs that provide members with opportunities to increase their technical knowledge and facilitate their career growth.
	The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has served as the Industry Guardian for the cleaning, inspection and restoration service industries for more than 30 years. As a non-profit certification organization, the IICRC helps ensure that you have access to trusted and trained cleaning professionals by establishing and monitoring certification programs and standards for these industries. To qualify for IICRC-Certified Firm status businesses must demonstrate proof of insurance, maintain a written customer complaint policy with documented follow-up and provide ongoing education and training leading to certification for all technicians. IICRC Certified Firms are also required to abide by the IICRC Code of Ethics. Services provided by IICRC-Certified professionals range from flooring inspection and cleaning to mold remediation to water and fire damage restoration.
	The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) is a nonprofit, multi-disciplined organization, dedicated to promoting the exchange of indoor environmental information, through education and research, for the safety and well being of the general public. The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) was established in 1995 to promote uniform standards, procedures and protocols in the Indoor Air Quality industry. In 2005 IAQA's membership was consolidated with two very similar organizations: The American Indoor Air Quality Council (AmIAQ) and the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization (IESO). IAQA emerged from the consolidation with 5,566 members as of January 1, 2006
	The National Institute of Restoration is the nation's premier association of building professionals dedicated to the repair, cleaning and restoration of property damaged by fire, wind, water or other disasters. Our members respond 24 hours a day 7 days a week to emergencies that threaten any structure, preventing further damage until insurers and property owners can determine what course of action to take.

NARI membership offers this assurance through an extensive screening process and requirement of its members to follow a strict Code of Ethics.
