Our staff is On-Call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year round. We understand that the sudden intrusion of water is not something that anyone can be totally prepared for. You will always talk to one of our knowledgeable, caring team members, day or night. If we are not able to assist you, we will offer you our best professional advice at all times. At Advanced Restoration we pride ourselves in our immediate response to these types of situations. The faster our response to the situation, the more building materials we can save.
The most important aspect of any water damage mitigation is finding all the water. Advanced Restoration’s state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, eliminates the guesswork when gathering data on moisture levels, whether it is trapped in the air, contents, and/or building materials. Our staff is trained to use Infrared building science, which is the application of infrared (IR) thermo-graphic inspection techniques as a powerful and non-invasive means of monitoring and diagnosing the condition of buildings. Thermography allows one to see variations in temperature (hence the name). Saturated building materials appear either colder or hotter than their surrounding dry materials depending on the source of the intrusion. When wet building materials are viewed through a thermographic camera, warm objects stand out well against cooler backgrounds and vice versa. IR cameras in the hands of our trained team members can provide immediate assessment of water-damaged material. We can find the “hidden water”.
We are a restoration company, not a demolition company.
Our emergency response time and water extraction equipment allows us to save almost any building material that has been damaged by water. Whether it is standing water or water trapped in the building materials, it is 500 times faster to physically remove the water than it is to evaporate it. The insurance industry tells us that 40% of all property losses are water damage, and 60% of all water damage losses are for the replacement of carpets and pads. When carpet gets wet it loses some of its structural integrity. This is the worst time to detach a carpet as it is in its weakest state. Our use of the Hydro-X Extreme Extractor allows us to extract 95% of the water from carpeting and pad. This new technology has only come about in recent years. Before it was imperative that the carpeting be detached, which caused most of the damage, and the padding had to be removed because there was no way to get all of the water out of the padding. Now with the Hydro-X, we have the ability to dry everything in place, with very little disturbance to the integrity of the carpet or the structure. The faster the carpet is extracted and dried, the stronger the fibers become.
We are seeing a lot more wood floors due to its increasing popularity. There are many types and constructions of wood flooring materials. Many can be restored to a pre-loss condition; even when minor cupping or crowning is evident. Restoration capability is dependent upon: response time, flooring type, replacement value, type or wood, finishes, instillation method, moisture content (MC), and the degree of distortion. Per the IICRC, hardwood floors are a Class 4 water loss. We find they are best dried with an Inject-A-Dry. Inject-A-Dry Vac-It Panels are designed to work on all types of hardwood floors, tile flooring, headers and other dense surfaces. The panels are spaced uniformly on the floor dependant on the type and finish of the wood. They are connected to a machine that creates negative air pressure using hoses to create a seal on the floor under the panel and removes moisture that would otherwise remain trapped. The proper use of the Inject-A-Dry System cuts drying time, saves money, saves floors, and reduces the disruption of the home or business.
Setting up a "Drying Chamber" refers to the process of isolating the wet area of a structure, placing in the chamber ONLY the equipment it takes to dry that area and then pulling the specific humidity in that area down lower than the unaffected areas around it. Wet Always Goes to Dry, When It Can. Simply stated, if the air inside the affected area is dryer, the moisture inside the structure will have to come to it. If we are drying a 2000 square foot house where only 800 square foot of the basement is wet, it makes sense to block off the wet area from the other 1200 square feet of living space that is dry. It might be as simple as putting up plastic or closing a door, but by isolating the wet area our company is able to place within the Drying Chamber the equipment it takes to dry only the wet 800 square feet instead of 2000. Not only does this expedite drying, it reduces noise from the drying equipment if someone is still occupying the unaffected area of the structure.
No guessing anymore. There is a Formula.
By utilizing the Vortex Drying System, we can take the guesswork out of how much equipment is needed on a given loss. By determining the Class of Loss, total cubic footage of the affected area, and the AHAM Rating of the dehumidification equipment used, we can scientifically determine how much equipment is needed to properly dry the structure. Our team members are all Vortex Certified.
What sets the Vortex Drying System apart from the accepted standards of drying structures?
The Vortex Drying System (VDS) is a SYSTEM for drying structures. Step by step, from start to finish it covers every area involved in how a job should be done. To better understand its effectiveness, one must first learn its purpose:
- To completely dry the structure, regardless of class or category I, II, or III
- And to dry the structure as rapidly as possible with the objective of minimizing replacement costs to the structure and content
There are many major differences, with intricate reasons behind them, which answer the question of why it works better. But from an outsider’s perspective, here's how they stack up:
1. The first difference is EFFECTIVENESS:
Most companies think that if they simply put equipment on a job, that it has to dry. And while it is true that wet will always go to dry if it can, taking this approach might take a while. The VDS will COMPLETELY dry the structure... PERIOD. No matter what kind of water intrusion it is: Black, Gray or Clean, or how much water there is: Class 1, 2, 3 or 4 the system will be utilized on EVERY drying job to completely dry the structure. The fact is that most companies pull their equipment off of a job with the structure still wet. Whether it is because of embarrassment, lack of training, or an inability to do the job correctly, these companies are jeopardizing the health of the homeowner and/or their business. The reason we have a mold problem today is because not all companies in our industry can properly dry a structure. Advanced Restoration team members have been trained to inspect all components of a structure to check for moisture, and have been educated in the best ways to dry them. Whether it is sheetrock, flooring, sub-flooring, plaster, structural wood or crawlspaces when we pull the equipment off a job, it will be dry.
2. The second difference is SPEED:
There is a lot of talk today about "rapidly drying" structures in our industry... and for some great reasons. Insurance companies are starting to wake up to the fact that we don't have a "mold problem," but rather a "drying problem." The fact is, the faster a structure is COMPLETELY DRIED, the better off all parties involved will be. When utilizing the Vortex Drying System, it should be possible to dry most structures in 72 hours. However, some building materials take in water slower than others, and release it slower as well... so they take longer to dry. Regardless, by utilizing this method Advanced Restoration will be done while other companies are still "drying." What you can be assured of with Advanced Restoration is the fact that the structure: will be completely dry, as rapidly as possible, with a minimization of replacement costs to both structure and contents.
It doesn't mean that we will never have to be invasive on a job, or that there will never be repairs. If it is necessary to make structural alterations in order to get to the water, they MUST be done. Semi-gloss or high gloss paint would have to be perforated due to the fact that the latex in the paint acts as a vapor barrier and does not let the sheetrock dry properly. Where you can dry flat paint with no need for perforation or “prepping.” Vinyl floor, vinyl wall coverings, and vinyl molding need to be removed before drying can commence. Yet, even when these events occur you still have to DRY the structure!
Where drying is concerned, on the average, the Vortex Drying System is twice as fast (two to three days faster) than conventional restorative drying methods. (At their best...) The speed of drying is impressive, and is really what we pride ourselves in. We only use equipment that draw the least amount of amps, so we can maximize equipment efficiency.
At Advanced Restoration, we don’t just come to your home/business on the day the water had infiltrated your home/business, we monitor the property until it is dry. Anyone can extract water, but not just anyone can properly dry. Teams members are on site daily to monitor moisture readings in the air, equipment, and building materials. You will always be kept informed and receive a daily update on how the job is progressing. We will show you using our state-of-the-art equipment that………

WATER OUT IS THE
FASTEST
MOST COST EFFECTIVE
DRYING PROCESS IN THE WORLD!!!!
Water Out is a new drying process designed to handle the challenges that traditional drying methods often fail to satisfy.
Invented in 1997, the process was granted a patent in 2003. This revolutionary drying process is far more superior to conventional dehumidification processes in many ways. The most important improvement is time. The sooner a flooded building can be dried, the greater the benefit to the property owner and insurer. The effects of water will not ruin most building contents, providing they are quickly dried. Valuable time, building contents and costly reconstruction can be saved using the Water Out method. The likelihood of mold growth is greatly reduced with rapid drying. THERE IS NO FASTER WAY TO DRY.
Water Out Has Been Tested
Independent tests conducted in the US and England proved that Water Out will dry flooded buildings much faster than refrigerants and desiccant dehumidifiers. Since 1997 over four thousand buildings of every size and construction have been dried using Water Out equipment. A single Water Out trailer will remove 100 pounds of water per hour and use a fraction of the electricity required for either refrigerants or desiccant dehumidifiers. One Water Out trailer uses 115 volts at 9-14 amps, about the power consumption of a typical household appliance. A desiccant dehumidifier with the capacity of a Water Out trailer would need 3 phase power and a much larger amp draw. With desiccant dehumidifiers a large diesel generator is required in nearly every situation. The entire system is inaudible from more than twenty feet away and will not disturb the neighbors. There is no generator or noisy equipment to power the system. A Water Out trailer can be easily transported, set up, and operated by a single trained technician.
THE MOST COST EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT WAY TO DRY.
The greatest benefit to using Water Out is the final product. Water Out uses fresh outside air as the drying source. The outside air is conditioned within the Water Out trailer and introduced into a flooded building at about 2% RH (relative humidity). This super-dry air is circulated through a flooded building and then exhausted to the outside. This concept leaves a clean, dry building in only a few days. At the temperatures that the Water Out conditions the air, the duration of time area(s) are conditioned, and the rate at which the air is exchanged inside the Drying Chamber, THERE IS NO BETTER, CLEANER WAY TO DRY.
